I am a mother and a partner. I do not have cancer, but through dear ones who have, I have learned firsthand about the power of cancer prevention and early detection. My father lived well into his eighties after being diagnosed with colon cancer in his fifties. My daughter Thea's father died of colon cancer a week before his 36th birthday.
