I am a bladder cancer survivor; diagnosed in 2007 with transitional cell carcinoma, but more specifically, carcinoma in situ (CIS); a highly malignant and aggressive cancerous lesion which was confined to the superficial lining of my bladder.

After transurethral resection of the tumor (TURBT), several tissue resections, intravesical therapy with Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) and follow-up cystoscopic evaluations and urinalysis over the past three years, I am living comfortably in Colorado, working on my continued good health and moving forward with building my business career.

I believe a strong mental and emotional value of positive thoughts and imagery is necessary to battle an insidious disease such as cancer. I believe this mindset is also a proper foundation for focusing on positive interaction with people, behaviors, circumstances and many challenges in one’s life.

I encourage everyone to research all aspects of bladder cancer, as it is important to be well-informed when working with medical professionals to commit to a beneficial recovery period and to develop a successful treatment program.

It is inspiring to know that so many people take the fight to cancer every day… so this site will always be a work-in-progress, serving those who confront the disease, while helping others encourage those who take up the fight.

To your continued efforts and success,

Jim Lutz
