Welcome from CANHELP
DATE: 29 Jun 2006, 3:52 pm

My name is Madeleen Herreshoff, Director of CANHELP,a cancer treatment information service (CANHELP). One of my main role as Director of CANHELP is to share information and to support the cancer patient in making decisions that are right for them.

I am also a two-time breast cancer survivor. I will probably wear two hats here in the discussions.

If you are interested in my breast cancer story I suggest you go to MyStory.

If you are like me, I am always interested in knowing what other cancer patients are doing to stay in remission or stable. So let me tell you what I am presently doing to remain in a healthy remission: now 11 years! P.S. This is my protocol and is not to be construed as medical advice.

First mind/body:

meditation/breathing/yoga/walking to reduce stress
time out regularly - I love backpacking
Spend time with my family

Supplements:

6 grams of vitamin C/day
CoQ10 - 150 mg for maintenance
Hydrazyme for digestion
5 Wobenzyms/2 x day away from food
Selenium, B complex, B12, Vit D, Folic Acid
Iodine - topically on breast and systemic
Thyroid med/Armour
Cod liver oil - 2 TBSP/night
Green Tea Extract - HerbaSway
Minerals
Extra Magnesium
Melatonin -3 mg
BHRT - bioidentical hormone replacement therapy- estrogen and testosterone
Home made kefir from raw milk - whey protein/glutathione
Eat primarily organic/grow my own veggies, eat wild fish only ( no farm raised or local fish), and occasionally grassfed, organic meat.

In case I get ill or do not feel up to par, I will add:
Transfer Factor
Viscum Album
Hoxsey
Coffee enemas
liver/gallbladder cleanse
and whatever else catches my fancy.
